Introduction

I have 20 years experience being a full time photographer, and have the equipment and knowledge to create great looking real estate photos, Airbnb photos, VRBO photos and more. This type of photography takes a certain set of skills, as does the post processing of the photos. Staging the home (if needed) and removing clutter is an important aspect in acquiring great photos. Interacting, communicating and listening to homeowners and clients is also important. I take pride in my work and it shows in my photos. Your home will stand out from other listings that have average photos. I am available within a large distance around the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington area.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge around $200 for under 1000 sq ft. and $300 for 2500 sq. ft. The price varies a little bit, depending on certain factors, such as out buildings, views, and client expectations. If you want to add a walk-through video, the price is $100 more.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I'm willing to explain my services and pricing in detail to new customers. I like to communicate with them to be able to accommodate their needs. I have photographed many homes, Airbnb’s, and VRBO’s in the Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, WA area.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Mostly self taught. I've spent many hours in the field and read books. The internet is a great place to expand my education and photography techniques.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been a full time photographer for 20 years. The creative aspect was appealing. My brother is doing real estate photography and he suggested that I get into this field. We share techniques that work.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Realtors, Airbnb, VRBO, home owners, architects, builders, and remodelers.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am proud of the feedback that I received from a client. They said that I was the best find on Thumbtack ever! There are actually very many photo shoots of homes that I am proud of.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Explore other real estate photographers and their website. A lot of photographers say that they can take real estate photos, but unless they are highly skilled in that area, results may be less than desirable.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do they want excellent photos that will help sell their home? Do they want excellent photos that could bring a higher bid on their home? Do they want excellent photos that could rent their Airbnb or VRBO more often? Do they want a professional, friendly, hard working & reasonably priced photographer?
